We’ll be picking eight talented NOISE artists to quiz Giles on his experience, from how he got started to branching out into his own company. So, log in to your NOISE ePortfolio, get your best stuff up there and then select a piece of work you would like to submit to the NOISE festival 2014 Fashion category. Hit the big pink ‘submit your work to the festival’ button and you’re good to go!
Darlington-born Giles Deacon is a two-time British Fashion Award winner who stumbled into his career in Fashion when Harrogate College of Arts was the only college that would admit him after failing his Science A-Levels. Giles went from drawing mice to studying Fashion at Central St. Martin’s, where he would make many friends and future collaborators like Jeremy Deller, who worked on an exhibition with him for the London 2012 Olympics.
Webinars with NOISE Curators are a way you can get advice on breaking into the industry from the very people who will be selecting work from Festival submissions. The best part is that it’s FREE and it takes place online so no matter where you are, you can join in!
“A good opportunity to make direct contact with industry professionals to get useful advice to push forward.” - Jess Gluba, Previous
