#NOISEfave: Kitsch Religion

This week’s ePortfolio pick is Claire Silvanna Cullen from Buckinghamshire and her colourful mixed media and textile creations.

You can find a mixture of Far Eastern history and culture, bright, bold prints and a few religious icons in Claire’s work, as is suggested in her username, Kitsch Religion

The main inspiration for this concept has been posters of 1920-30’s, Shanghai pin-up girls. At the time, the posters were considered as very controversial; however nowadays they reveal an exquisite mix of East meets West. - Claire Silvanna Cullen

Claire's work

Claire’s ePortfolio is a great example of how you can organise your work into collections, tidying up your page and more importantly, keeping themed pieces together, to be displayed as they were intended.

She’s also filled out her expertise, so that it shows her range excellently, from her degree in Textiles and Surface Design to her practical experience within a print design studio.
