Jacob Swan-Hyam aka VABE from York, has already worked with Saatchi and Saatchi and photographer, Rankin. His kooky style is his trademark. Penny points out that, "The subject is fun. Vabe has combated the whole emphasis on polish with a return to something that is urgent and playful"�.

Sydelle Smith, 19, London, depicts the traditional dress of the medicine men of the Sangoma in Southern Africa. Penny comments, "It was the colour palette that struck me first, it's very arresting. I like the fact that she had the courage to submit this sort of work- it's not particularly fashionable but reminds me of a 1950's geographic slide show - very different from the generic styles I'm seeing right now"�.

Sam Kemp is a Fine Art graduate from London who works mainly at night, investigating light pollution and artificial light. Penny says, "Sam has an amazing technical brilliance and has achieved a remarkable technical feat in this image- cinematic lighting that is hard to achieve for someone so young. I like the fact also that he is trying to make a politicised statement about something that is ecologically wrong"�.
