ALEXANDER CHURCH
Press:.Cent Magazine, Spring 2007, NOISE Magazine, Channel M
Achievements:Paul Insect's Curators Choice, NOISE Urbis and Magma exhibitions
NOISE 2006 Curator Choice illustrator
Alex Church was selected by NOISE 2006 Curator for Illustration, Paul Insect, as his curator's choice. Alex then went on to have his 'mutant race' drawing displayed in the best of NOISE exhibition at Urbis in Manchester, and at the NOISE Magma London exhibition.

Through his involvement with NOISE, Alex was commissioned to design an illustration for .Cent magazine, and was invited onto a NOISE special programme for Channel M.

'I really like the whole mix. It's very comical. The play on imagery to come up with words is brilliant.' - Paul Insect, NOISE Curator: Illustration.

'I have found NOISEfestival to be a good platform for me to exhibit my work and gain recognition that many new graduates may struggle to find. I have met various artists who are at the top of their game. It is always daunting to imagine how people will react to your work in the real world, outside of an educational environment but all the positive attention from well established artists such as Paul Insect has given me a confidence in my work that I don't think I had before.'

ANDREW TUNNEY
Press:Time Out Manchester. Digit Magazine. NOISE press coverage. All FM. Arts Council Brochure. NOISE 'Dreamjob' artist in residence at Manchester's Time Out magazine'.
NOISE 2006 illustrator

NOISE street artist Andrew Tunney was selected to take part on a NOISE feature on Channel M, with NOISE Illustration Curator, Paul Insect. Andrew also received two Dream Job placements through NOISE, with TimeOut Manchester and Channel M.

'One of the hardest things about being a young artist is never knowing whether anybody is watching or even paying attention to what you're doing, which gets pretty disheartening when you're just working in your studio all day. NOISE has helped me reach a larger audience via TV and Radio exposure and certainly opened up many possibilities. Most importantly though, it's good to know there's an organisation out there that will get behind you if you've got skills.'

CHRIS DENT
Achievements:Urbis Exhibition, NOISE Magazine Insert
NOISE 2006 Illustration Curator Choice
Chris Dent from Wormley submitted a number of what he calls "overly obsessive drawings" based on architecture.

Chris is now a full time illustrator. Through his NOISE profile a company approached Chris to re-brand their company and recruited him as their full-time illustrator to help take the company in a fresh new direction. Since Chrs's time with the company he's worked for the European section of the company and has flown over the pond to help re-brand the state side branch.

Over the past year he's also worked with a number of house-hold names such as Xbox, Pernod, and designed his own range of clothes for Zoo York and ASOS. He's completed 8 solo Shows in London & Paris and will be part of the next INKTHIS show in April 2008 with the likes of Jo Ratcliffe, Jim Stoten, Oliver Hibert, David Foldvari, Jeremyville, Mike Perry to name a few!

Chris offers some advice for new artists thinking of submitting thier work to NOISE 2008;
"Even though i was very determined when i left Camberwell college of Arts back in 2006, NOISE offered me a platform to show and promote my work to a large audience, i think what NOISE does is great for the creative industry and especially to those who are just starting out."
