NOISE 'State of Creativity' Magazine

The NOISE 'State of Creativity' Magazine includes profiles of our curators, their artist choices, creative articles and fashion spreads.

A huge amount of activity is going on during NOISE Festival 2006. What better way to capture all the events, exhibitions, projects, documentaries and high quality artwork that we discovered, then popping it all into this neat little magazine that we can distribute across the country.

The NOISE ‘State of Creativity’ Magazine includes profiles of our curators, their artist choices, creative articles and fashion spreads. NOISE talent contributes to the magazine by writing articles, organising photo shoots and manage the print production.

To build a national profile of NOISE and all the amazing artists involved, over 220,000 NOISE Magazines are distributed across the UK as an insert in regional newspapers such as The Evening Standard in London, Birmingham Mail and Newcastle Evening Chronicle. Fashion chain TopShop also adds a NOISE Mag to every customers purchase in stores across the country, offering huge exposure for everyone involved.

The taster magazine introduces over 200 new artists and their work to a new audiences of potential buyers or future employers. The featured NOISE talent can add the magazine to their portfolios

Doing the magazine shoot was an amazing experience and a real challenge. Travelling the country with my equipment (and being alone) was a massive learning curve in practice.Taking portraits on location with no real prior knowledge of the location taught me a lot about the skill and flexibility you have to have as a photographer.'
