In November 2010, NOISE was approached by the North-West Labour Euro MPs Arlene McCarthy MEP and Brian Simpson MEP, who ask if we’d like to offer our artists a chance to design an Anti-Discrimination poster that’d be used to front a European-wide campaign. ‘Of course!’ is our obvious answer!

Back in 2010, the Socialists & Democrats in the European Parliament (S&D) campaigned for an EU-wide law against discrimination on the grounds of religion or belief, age, disability, or sexual orientation. The aim of the poster was to get the message across about the benefits the new law would have for those people living throughout the EU.

Out of four fantastic finalists, the chosen poster by Rubina Anwar was launched and displayed at events in the European Parliament in Brussels and Manchester.
