2003 – Present CSV Learning North West. Project Tutor.
Developing, Undertaking, delivering and assessing course work for a range of projects and qualifications in Media to student groups ranging from 13 -19 years of age. This included; NCFE Level 2 qualifications in Moving Image, also units of an NCFE Level 1 in Radio Production, NCFE Level 1 Podcasting. Acting as a tutor and mentor to college students with who were studying the technical side of radio production, ensuring their understanding at all times, while giving them the opportunity to put their academic skills to practical use. During my time at CSV I was instrumental in the setting up and operating of an internet radio station (QTRadio). The radio station showcased unsigned artists from the Manchester area giving them a platform and an audience base on which to hopefully launch their music career. I was responsible for recording, editing and transmitting pre-recorded interviews for the radio station. I also acted as a Radio Technician and Engineer for a City and Guilds course (7790 – Media Techniques, Journalism and Radio Competences) for City College Manchester.
2004 Moss Side and Hulme Radio. Radio Presenter.
Producing and presenting a variety of radio shows for the local community radio station. My role involved selecting records, organising the playlist for the show, interviewing residents and celebrities about local issues, while also producing the show.
2003 Salford Radio. Radio Presenter.
Presenting a series of broadcasts from around Salford, relating to local and historical issues, planning the shows playlists and contents, organising, arranging and editing interviews while also acting as a showcase for up and coming local music talent.
