I was selected by my university to show a selection of my work at New Designers 2014 exhibition in London. I thouroughly enjoyed talking to various people that I met over the week. I met interesting industry creatives and professionals, as well as other students displaying their work and also prospective students and the general public showing interest. It was great to 'network', meet up with friends from my previous college courses and meet new people.

I was also selected by my university to show my A3 fashion portfolio at Graduate Fashion Week 2014 at The Old Truman Brewery, London. My protfolio presented in A3 leather bound format shows a selection of my printed textile designs, both scanned and real samples, fashion illustrations, sketchbook work and overall mood of each project that I have created. My A2 portfolio of fabric samples sits comfortably beside and shows the samples that go along with my illustrated fashion collections that are presented in my A3 portfolio.
I was so excited to find out that my work had been selected by Fashion Designer Giles Deacon and I was part of the Noise Festival 2014 as a Curator's Choice Artist. As part of the event I was invited to The House of Commons to celebrate the start of the whole event. I am one of 5 designers chosen by Giles himself, and it was really nice to meet the other designers at the event. We were also introduced to one of the team members from the GILES studio, who also told us that we were invited to come and work on placement within the team at Giles Deacon's Studio. It was really exciting to hear that this was part of our prize as being selected and to more information about how we will be involved within the team.
