British designer Hannah Marshall has already established herself as an up coming innovative designer and entrepreneur in her own right. Recognised by organisations such as the BBC, Crafts Council, Channel 4, Shell, the NCGE and the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA), Hannah continues to astound the fashion world with her passion and natural flare for originality. Since graduating from Colchester School of Art and Design in 2003 with a first class degree, Hannah has gone on to work for designers; Jonathan Saunders and Robert Cary-Williams in the infamous build up to London Fashion Week. In 2003, her work earned her a place on NESTA'S 'Creative Pioneer Programme' where Hannah was the youngest of 31 other designers chosen to receive business and enterprise skills in order to help them become the new creative entrepreneurs of the future. Hannah went on to win the prestigious 'One Year On' award for her first solo exhibition, held as part of New Designers 2004, while also gaining further intensive business training across the UK which has equipped Hannah with the vital skills to support her womenswear label. In 2005, Hannah secured funding from NESTA to support her professional research and development for her womenswear brand. Most recently, Hannah was nominated as finalist in the 'Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year' 2006 awards. 2006 sees the official launch of Hannah's label, 'Hannah Marshall ', an exclusive womenswear brand offering a clothing solution for modern professional woman that engages and empowers women, by providing innovative collections that reflect intelligence, sophistication and confidence.
