The one that dares wears all at once, ‘like Grandma!’ In my final collection I have gone against the current stereotypical persona of fashionable beauty being inspired by the traditional British seaside towns where prints clash, silhouettes are voluminous and the unattractive can prevail. The main focus of the collection is created around the fairground carousels, printed and embellished upon circular garment shapes. I have absorbed 'the tacky' within the ‘avant-garde’ creating beauty; by expressing life through a dressing up box, allowing the wearer to relate to my garments in a more personal humorous? beautiful? extreme? or understated manner.
I am a Creative Womenswear Designer with expressive experimentation between both silhouette and print design. I have strong CAD skills using both Illustrator and Photoshop for technical drawings as well as illustrative work.
