SHORTLISTED TEXTILE CHALLENGE INSPIRED BY WARNER TEXTILE ARCHIVE

CAMAC textile challenge competition

My work was shortlisted for the Camac textile challenge competition.  Using a randomly selected print from the Warner Textile Archive, we were challenged to come up with a response to the work. My work was exhibited in The Braintree Museum in Essex and the Imago Gallery in London. I created a 5 layer screenprint with vinyl, gold foiling and black flock finishes.

Selected by Traces London to showcase my work, along with 50 other artists in a theatrical and immersive art a design event. Reviving a neglected building with the senses and stories of the inhibatants of the secret event. Viewers were invited to explore/ unravel and discover the histories of the building and its secrets while interacting with selected and commissioned art/ design pieces, which they could purchase also. The era and location was kept secret as it involved the visitor to figure out this information through following location and era clues through guerrilla advertisement around London.
