Mahboobeh Rajabi is a digital media artist who specialises in film making, digital art, stop motion animation and creative writing. She also has skills and experience as a creative producer. 
She is currently doing an apprenticeship at Community Arts North West (CAN). She studied Theatre Directing in Iran and continued her education in the UK, studying Media (Moving Image Production).  She joined CAN at the end of 2010 as part of the Exodus programme, shooting her own short film, Happy Endings and continuing her involvement through a wide variety of projects, including the Big Writing for a Small World creative writing project, Heart’s Core participatory theatre project and Do It digital media training. 
In 2012 she developed and produced her own short film, You’ve Been Appraised which was shown as part of the CSV media course showcase.  In the same year she worked as an Assistant Producer on Surviving Alba, a CSV Manchester film production which involved set design, set building and helping the production team in all aspects of the film production.  
During 2012, Mahboobeh also led and produced the Seasons creative writing project for up and coming writers in Manchester.
In her current apprenticeship at CAN she is making digital videos, stop motion animation, creative writing and social media. This recently included making an animation film introducing Do I.T digital media course trainees.
During 2014, Mahboobeh was the digital media artist for CAN’s Manchester Youth Arts Programme where she was responsible for documenting the rehearsal process. As part of this programme she edited a film, New Beginning of the Kamosi Roma youth group’s final performance. She also led on making a film to share the young producer’s experience of the programme. In the same year, she participated in the Lisapo Congolese Tales media team as editor, photographer and VJ Digital Artist assistant.
Mahboobeh has an active interest and is currently studying and researching the arts and history of the Far East of Asia. She is studying Korean and Japanese language to support her research and getting more reference that is not translated in English. Her research will result in an online visual project which will feature a blog and animation film.
