My work blends fashion and art imagery with the aim to create a unique and emotional visual conversation between the two.
My work is characterised by the juxtaposition of fashion and art imagery in the form of digital collages. With my collages, I aim to give a new point of view to both fields and render with emotion something seemingly static and lifeless. Raf Simons' A/W 2012-13 RTW last collection for Jil Sander and Gustav Klimt's 'Garden Path with Chickens' were the inspiration behind the creation of Ubicouture as a blog on Tumblr, where I have been showcasing my work ever since. Since then, it has developed both in style and technique but always with the same maxim: to ignite emotion and move the viewer. With no professional or academic training, the Internet has been my loyal assistant in every part of production from the beginning; from research to learning how to use Photoshop. On Ubicouture, I create work primarily for my own, personal expression. However, I have also been commissioned by Christian Dior and Harper's Bazaar China, amongst others, to create original collages.
